Vital Brooklyn Grants Open

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced a series of major milestones in the groundbreaking Vital Brooklyn initiative that will transform the central Brooklyn region by addressing chronic social, economic, and health disparities. To further the goal of economic empowerment, the Office of Environmental Justice released a competitive grant program to fund green jobs training programs in central Brooklyn to prepare residents for emerging job opportunities in the growing clean, green economy. Eligible applicants include not-for-profit corporation (NFP) community-based organizations located in the following Assembly Districts of central Brooklyn:

AD 42 – Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte
AD 43 – Assemblymember Diana C. Richardson
AD 53 – Assemblymember Maritza Davila
AD 54 – Assemblymember Erik M. Dilan
AD 55 – Assemblymember Latrice Walker
AD 56 – Assemblymember Tremaine Wright
AD 57 – Assemblymember Walter T. Mosley
AD 58 – Assemblymember N. Nick Perry
AD 60 – Assemblymember Charles Barron

Applications will be accepted until 3:00 PM EST July 20, 2018.

Eligible applicants may apply via the New York State Grants Gateway. An eligible community-based organization may partner with a NFP that will serve as their fiscal sponsor. For more information, including eligibility, please see the attached Request for Applications (RFA). The RFA is provided for reference only and applicants must apply on the Grants Gateway.
